One year after the SAO incident, Kirito is approached by Seijirou Kikouka from Japan's Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications Department “VR Division” with a rather peculiar request. Kikuoka has asked Kirito to investigate the “Death Gun” incident that occurred in the gun and steel filled VRMMO called Gun Gale Online (GGO).

“Players who are shot by a mysterious avatar with a jet black gun lose their lives even in the real world.” Failing to turn down Kikuoka's request, Kirito logs into GGO even though he is not completely convinced that what happens in the virtual world could directly and physically affect the real world.

Kirito wanders in an unfamiliar world in order to gain any clues about the “Death Gun." Then, a female sniper named Sinon who owns a gigantic "Hecate II" rifle extends Kirito a helping hand.

With Sinon's help, Kirito decides to enter the “Bullet of Bullets,” a large tournament to choose the mos powerful gunner within GGO, in hopes to become the target of the “Death Gun” and make direct contact with the mysterious avatar.

When the student attempts to jump out of the window upon being discovered, Yato manages to rescue him and subdue the phantom, but ends up breaking his (Hiyori's) shoulder in the process. As such, Yato is caught and given an appropriate punishment whilst Hiyori begins her next day of school with a bizarre reputation.

Nobita Nobi is an elementary school boy who is very lazy, unlucky and a scaredy-cat. He gets bullied by everyone and does not excel in any school subject. When he meets Doraemon for the first time, the two of them start off on the wrong foot; however, they soon become great friends. Doraemon cannot go home to the 22nd century unless he turns Nobita into a boy who can stand on his own and be happy.

While playing in Prince Mackaroo's garden, they lose the scepter and Prince Mackaroo finds it! Whoever has possession of the scepter can time-warp to any time in the past or future! Excited, Prince Mackaroo jumps into the distant future to our present world, tailed by the three scamps who need to get the scepter back to the Great Demon King.

Upon landing in the present day, Prince Mackaroo meets Cozmo, a boy 7 years of age. They become very good friends and Cozmo's parents invite Prince Mackaroo to live with them. Prince Mackaroo gets his chance to experience a life full of mishaps, confusion, fun and adventures in the present world.
