Middle school students fought fiercely against one another in a national tournament. Now, 50 chosen representatives return to fight again as high school students!

The stage is the U-17 (Under Seventeen) Japanese Representative Training Camp. Middle school students have been invited for the first time to a camp known to produce the best Japanese tennis players. National champions from Seigaku, Hyotei, Rikkai, Shitenhoji... With all the rivals from the national tournament attending, everyone eagerly awaits their reunion.

At first, the middle schoolers do not expect much from their high school opponents. However, the training camp is not so easy! Athletes with skills incomparable to those they previously faced and their mysterious coach appear before them. Episode 1: Shiraishi becomes the captain of Shitenhoji Tennis Club. In order to maintain the club, the members have to invite a new member. They try to attract Zaizen's attention by showing him jokes but Zaizen passes them off.

Episode 2: Ryoma is told Seigaku's seven ghost stories by Momoshiro. They are quite common stories but the third grade members leave the club room in a hurry. Fuji says "It's time to confide this to you." and he begins to tell what he experienced two years ago.

A new Prince of Tennis OVA, called Prince of Tennis OVA Another Story ~Kako to Mirai no Message~, was announced at Shueisha's Jump Festa 09 this past weekend. The official website of the show has confirmed it yesterday. According to the latest issue of Weekly Shonen Jump magazine, Another Story will take place in Osaka after the finals. The preview of the new OVA will be available on the third volume of Prince of Tennis: The National Tournament Finals.

Expecting to do some special training, the team reaches the destination only to find their precious tennis courts taken over by a group of college tennis players. These specials feature the Oshitari cousins in a Manzai (漫才) setup [a style of stand-up comedy in Japan, which usually involves two performers—a straight man (tsukkomi) and a funny man (boke)].

Story 1 involves Oshitari Yuuhi who is tired of being the tsukkomi and wants to try his hand at being a boke but with disastrous results.

Story 2 is about Oshitari Kenya in the role of a boke whose jokes didn't get through to the audience in a joint Namiwa-Seishun Talentshow.

NHK specials on parasports. The first episode covers blind soccer, with character designs by Yoichi Takahashi (from the Captain Tsubasa fame). And the second episode covers a female sprinter with a prosthetic leg, with character designs by Eisaku Kubonouchi (from the Hungry Days: Aoharu ka yo. fame). The specials featured interviews, coverage of the Paralympics, and an animated segment. This MAL entry will cover only the animated segment.

High school freshman Hiromi joins the tennis club because of her admiration for Ryuzaki. Ryuzaki is a senior, who's the best tennis player on the team and also nicknamed "Ochoufujin", ("Madame Butterfly"), because of her elegance on the tennis court. However, the new coach, Jin Munakata, wants the inexperienced Hiromi to play in a forthcoming tournament.

Due to this, Hiromi considers quitting tennis for good but, in the depth of her soul, she soon realizes that she loves tennis after all. She returns to the club and, under Munakata's coaching, her talent starts to bloom.

In the end, Hiromi develops a strong emotional bond with her coach, not knowing that Munakata is risking his life because of a chronic illness.

She was expecting to enjoy playing tennis with her best friend, Maki, but the situation changes when the new coach, Mr. Munakata, suddenly picks out Hiromi to be one of the players for the upcoming tournament and starts giving Hiromi tough lessons. She strives under any circumstance. The more the new coach gives her training, the better she seems to get. Finally she becomes the representative in the junior match tournament.
