“Let’s leave this town together,” asks Shuichi Saito, a former classmate of Kirie Goshima, a high school girl who was born and grew up in Kurouzu-cho. Everything from a strange whirlwind, billowing smoke from the crematorium, and the residents is turning into spirals. People’s eyes spin in whirls, a tongue spirals, and the bodies twist unnaturally. In an attempt to escape the curse of the spirals, Kirie decides to flee from Kuouzu-cho, but can she get away from this turmoil?

Miyu Samura is at a loss as to how to deal with Singe, the toy poodle his ex girlfriend abandoned in his apartment. One day, he meets Shinichiro Niwa, a dog trainer. Immediately drawn to Niwa's exceptional skills, Miyu decides to work for him at his training studio Proud Dog. While his relationship with and training of Singe progresses, Miyu encounters families and dogs that come for training and gradually awakens to the deep connections between humans and animals. With the help of pet groomer Ritsuka and vet Suzunosuke, Miyu grows as a dog trainer and as a person.

A work of fiction based on historical fact, this manga views the battle through the eyes of TAMARU, a 22-year-old soldier and aspiring cartoonist seeing his first combat. A chronicle of the “truth” as seen by a young man struggling to come to terms with war in an era when war was the norm.
