The nostalgic "katakatakata" sound Wasimo makes when it walks comes from the same false teeth that Hiyori's grandma had. Wasimo walks faster than a snail, but slower than an excited snail. Still, Wasimo can actually run faster than a speeding bullet train. The story follows this strange Wasimo as it meets all sorts of people and has all sorts of experiences.

Insufficient Direction is the first essay manga by the "queen of the manga world," Moyoco Anno. The comedic and heartwarming autobiographical story followed her everyday married "otaku lifestyle" with Hideaki Anno (Evangelion), "the founder of the otaku cult."
The story is set at Myoujou Academy, a private girls' boarding school. The 10th year's Kurogumi class has 12 assassins with their sights on one target, Haru Ichinose. Tokaku Azuma is a recent transfer student who is also targeting Ichinose, but she gradually develops feelings for Ichinose.
